Parents to Dual Enrolled Students

We are excited to have your student as a part of our Dual Enrollment program! We understand that you play a vital role in the success of your student and want to ensure you have the resources to support them during this significant milestone.

Whether this is new, or you have a lot of questions, Augusta University is here to ensure your student is prepared and successful during their time as a Dual Enrollment student. Here are a few tips to help you and your student during this time:

  • Once your student is accepted as a Dual Enrollment student, we will communicate primarily with your student via their Augusta University email.
  • Dual Enrollment students are limited to a total of 30 approved state funded hours. Once a student has exhausted their Dual Enrollment funding, they can continue taking classes, however, they will be financially responsible for tuition, fees, and books.
  • Dual Enrollment students have access to our Campus Resources including tutoring, writing center, and student disabilities services.
  • Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress to remain a Dual Enrollment student.
  • Dual Enrollment students cannot receive funding for the same course taken twice.
  • Students become ineligible to continue to receive Dual Enrollment Funding after their second course withdrawal.
