I was a classroom teacher for 34 years and have taught at AU for over 15 years over a period of time. When I retired from Columbia County I worked as a K-5 Literacy Consultant for CSRA RESA and supported K-5 teachers in twelve districts for ten years.
I have taught a variety of courses for AU including assessment, writing, reading, and classroom management. My favorite classes to teach are those which emphasize the foundational skills using a variety of techniques supported by research.
My research interests are directly related to classroom support of reading and writing instruction.
