Medical College of Georgia
Department of Medicine: Hospital Medicine
I am interested in teaching undergraduate medical students to be compassionate physicians. I am involved in teaching activities geared toward shaping their professional identity as well as promoting resilience in their careers in medicine. On the clinical side, I teach physical exam at the bedside and help undergraduate and graduate medical trainees develop their clinical reasoning skills.
As a physician caring for hospitalized adults, my clinical interests include diagnosis and treatment of common and uncommon diseases, and I have worked on a number of case reports and case presentations related to this. I am also engaged in quality improvement within my division. My research interests also extend to the importance of compassion in healthcare and how this can be effectively taught to medical students and residents.
