Mrs. Cox’s teaching interests focus heavily on challenging gifted learners with lessons that include STEM integration, intentional questioning, problem solving, and 21st Century Thinking Skills. She enjoys integrating these topics with real world connections to engage students in an authentic manner.
In addition to general gifted education and problem solving strategies, Mrs. Cox’s research interests focus on topics that support gifted learners identified as twice exceptional students. Effective identification and strategies for developing these unique learners are specific areas of focus.
