Bio
Dr. Denotra Gaillard is a Family Nurse Practitioner and educator with over 20 years of experience in clinical practice and academia. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and is nationally certified as an FNP. Her expertise spans high-risk settings including emergency departments, occupational wellness, and public health/HIV clinics. Dr. Gaillard is a leader in interprofessional collaboration, patient-centered care, and clinical innovation. She has developed and taught nurse practitioner curricula, mentoring students in team-based care models. Through a mobile health unit, she leads primary prevention initiatives for underserved women across 16 rural Georgia counties. Her work fosters partnerships with physicians, faith leaders, educators, and public health professionals to advance health equity. Passionate about community engagement, she advocates interdisciplinary practice and improved access to care. Dr. Gaillard is the recipient of the 2024 American Association of Nurse Practitioners State Award for Excellence in Georgia. Dr. Gaillard has also been accepted as a Professional Member of the National Academies of Practice.
