Teaching Interests

Helping students practice and utilize their critical thinking faculties in a variety of educational capacities and theories. Differentiated learning and scaffolding are key to individual student success. I'm particularly interested in innovative pedagogies that get students not only interested in course content, but also draw connections to their selves and world.

Research Interests

My research is situated at the intersections of ecocritical and multispecies pedagogies, environmental education, podcasting research methodologies, arts-based research methods. I'm particularly interested in how our current ways of being shape our relationships with the more-than-human, and what role education plays in that discourse. I'm also interested in what we can learn with/from the more-than-human and land.
