My teaching philosophy is grounded in principles that support student development, including active participation, experiential learning, critical thinking, and self-reflection. My goal is to help learners transition from a surface-level understanding of public health concepts to practical application beyond the classroom.

Research Interests
My research program in family violence focuses on two primary aims: 1) examining how individual, family, and systemic factors—and their interactions—shape health behaviors and biopsychosocial outcomes, and 2) advancing evidence-based prevention and intervention programs for at-risk families.
