We champion diversity and nurture individual student success while providing a rigorous but accessible education that prepares you for the nursing workplace, academia and leadership as you progress throughout your career. You’ll be encouraged, challenged and supported whether pursuing an entry-level bachelor's or master's degree or a doctor of nursing practice or PhD degree. The College of Nursing is located on a Health Sciences campus and is just steps away from a tertiary care academic medical center, complete with a state-of the-art Interdisciplinary Simulation Center.
The College of Nursing is approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education thanks to our innovative, challenging and contemporary curriculum offered across all our various degree programs. The college has also been awarded the 2021 Diversity, Inclusion, and Sustainability in Nursing Education Lectureship Award from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
Our Prelicensure degree options have each won an award from U.S. News and World Report and boast exemplary first time pass rates of the NCLEX. BSN 1st time pass rate for 2023 is 97%. MSN 1st time pass rate for 2023 is 93%. Advanced degree options are available for the bachelor and masters prepared nurse with our Doctor of Nursing Practice programs, PhD in Nursing, and Post-Master’s Certificates. Advanced degrees boast a high board pass rate, with select APRN certifications earning a 100% Board Pass Rate for the last 5 years.

Our students also have opportunities to engage in this important work and lead their own projects through targeted courses and programs. Annually, our students contribute more than 200 hours of service to improve health and promote the wellness of our citizens.
The College of Nursing is pleased to offer several scholarships to current undergraduate and graduate Nursing students.
The criteria for each fund is determined by the donor and is available upon inquiry. The availability of funds is variable. Students seeking financial assistance should complete an application form at the Financial Aid Office as well as provide required information specific to the scholarship to the College of Nursing.
