Submission of Unofficial Transcripts for the Admission Review Process

Unofficial transcripts will be accepted only by specific programs for specific terms (see below) for the application review process.  Only unofficial transcripts will be accepted for the review process from US colleges/universities.  No unofficial transcripts or transcript evaluations will be accepted for the review process from colleges/universities outside of the US. 

Official transcripts will be required by all admitted applicants by May 1, 2023 for Summer entry and by August 1, 2023 for Fall entry. 

 

Summer 2023: Programs Accepting Unofficial Transcripts for Summer 2023

For the summer 2023 entry term, unofficial transcripts will be accepted ONLY by programs listed above for the application review process. Applicants to ALL other graduate programs for summer 2023 must submit all official transcripts/transcript evaluations for the application review process as required by the program. 

  • Applicants can submit unofficial domestic (US) transcripts up until March 2, 2023 to be considered for an admission decision for the Summer 2023 semester.​
  • ALL application documents required by your program must be received by March 2, 2023 to be considered for application review and an admission decision.
  • Applicants can monitor the receipt of their application materials by logging into their application portal.
  • Applicants who are offered acceptance based on unofficial transcripts must submit their official transcripts no later than May 1, 2023 for the Summer 2023 semester.
  • If official transcripts are not received by May 1, then enrollment will not be allowed for Summer 2023 and the acceptance will be deferred to a future term or withdrawn.

For the Fall 2023 entry term, unofficial transcripts will be accepted ONLY by programs listed above for the application review process.  Applicants to ALL other graduate programs for Fall 2023 must submit all official transcripts/transcript evaluations for the application review process as required by the program.

  • Applicants can submit unofficial domestic (US) transcripts up until May 1, 2023 to be considered for an admission decision for the Fall 2023 semester.
  • IF ALL application documents required by your program are not received by May 1, 2023 then official transcripts and all missing application documents must be submitted by the program’s standard application deadline to be considered for application review and an admission decision after May 1.
  • Applicants can monitor the receipt of their application materials by logging into their application portal.
  • Applicants who are offered acceptance based on unofficial transcripts must submit their official transcripts no later than August 1, 2023 for the Fall 2023 semester 
  • If official transcripts are not received by August 1, 2023 then enrollment will not be allowed for Fall 2023 and the acceptance will be deferred to a future term or withdrawn

Unofficial Transcript Criteria

  • Unofficial transcripts may either be scanned pdf versions of your official transcript or a downloaded pdf version from your institution's online portal.
  • Transcripts are required from every college or university attended.
  • If you attended any college/university outside of the US you will need to provide an official transcript evaluation.  Unofficial transcript evaluations will not be considered as part of this process.
  • Please combine multiple pages from the same transcript into one file.
  • Do not upload transcripts that include a U.S. Social Security Number (SSN). Redact, cross out, or cover your SSN, if applicable, before scanning the document.
  • Your uploaded transcripts must include all of the same information that would appear on an official transcript:
    • your full name
    • the name of the college/university
    • a complete list of all coursework listed by academic term, including number of units and grades earned
    • any degree you have already earned (and the degree date)
    • your overall grade point average (if provided by your college/university)
    • all information and images on both the front and back of each page of your transcript
  • Unofficial transcripts must be legible: large enough to read and not blurry or pixelated
  • Please be sure to include all information and images on both the front and back your transcript(s)

Submission of Unofficial Transcripts

You can submit unofficial transcripts by:

  • uploading pdf documents to your application portal: save your transcript as a PDF document and upload each transcript to the application portal by institution.
  • Note: all credentials uploaded by an applicant to the application portal are considered unofficial.

Official Transcript Requirement

  • Applicants submitting application materials after the unofficial transcript deadline must submit official transcripts to be considered for an admission decision.
  • Admitted students must provide official transcripts no later than May 1, 2023 for summer entry or August 1, 2023 for the fall 2023 entry. If official transcripts are not received by the appropriate deadline, then enrollment will not be allowed for that application term and the acceptance will be deferred to a future term or withdrawn.
  • To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution to the Office of Graduate Admissions Operations by mailing to:
