Overview

Unofficial transcripts will be used for the admissions review process ONLY by the participating programs (see below).  Only unofficial transcripts from US colleges/universities can be used in the admissions review process in lieu of official transcripts. 

Neither unofficial transcripts from international colleges /universities nor unofficial transcript /credential evaluations of international transcripts can be used in the admissions review process in lieu of official transcripts or official transcript/credential evaluations. Official transcript/credential evaluations must be received before an admission decision can be made.

All required application materials and documents must be received for an application to be considered complete and before an admission decision can be made.  Applicants can monitor the receipt of their application materials by logging into their application portal.

Applicants who are offered acceptance based on unofficial transcripts must submit their official transcripts no later than the deadlines indicated for each semester.  If official transcripts are not received by the deadlines indicated for each term, then enrollment will not be allowed for that term and the acceptance will be deferred to a future term or withdrawn.

Programs Accepting Unofficial Transcripts for 2024

For the 2024, unofficial transcripts will be accepted for the application review process ONLY by programs listed below. Applicants to ALL other graduate programs for 2024 must submit all official transcripts/transcript evaluations for the application review process as required by the program.  Note, not all programs admit every term; check your program’s term(s) of entry.

Unofficial Transcript Criteria

Only unofficial transcripts from US colleges/universities can be used in the admissions review process in lieu of official transcripts.  Neither unofficial transcripts from international colleges /universities nor unofficial transcript /credential evaluations of international transcripts can be used in the admissions review process in lieu of official transcripts or official transcript/credential evaluations. Official transcript/credential evaluations must be received before an admission decision can be made.

  • Unofficial transcripts may either be scanned pdf versions of your official transcript or a downloaded pdf version from your institution's online portal.
  • Transcripts are required from every college or university attended or attending.
  • Please combine multiple pages from the same transcript into one file.
  • Do not upload transcripts that include a US Social Security Number (SSN). Redact, cross out, or cover your SSN, if applicable, before scanning the document.
  • Unofficial transcripts must be legible: large enough to read and not blurry or pixelated
  • Your uploaded/submitted transcripts must include all of the same information that would appear on an official transcript:
    • your full name
    • the name of the college/university
    • a complete list of all coursework listed by academic term, including number of units and grades earned
    • any degree you have already earned (and the degree date)
    • your overall grade point average (if provided by your college/university)
    • all information and images on both the front and back of each page of your transcript including the transcript key/legend

Directions for Submitting Unofficial Transcripts

You can submit your unofficial transcripts by uploading a pdf of each transcript into your application portal.  Please be sure to save each transcript as a PDF document and upload each transcript to the application portal by institution.

Note: any transcript submitted by an applicant in any of these three ways are considered unofficial.


Deadlines for Submitting Official Transcripts

Applicants who are offered acceptance based on unofficial transcripts must submit their official transcripts no later than the deadlines indicated for each semester.  Note: Not all programs admit every term; check your program’s term(s) of entry.  If official transcripts are not received by the deadlines indicated for each term, then enrollment will not be allowed for that term and the acceptance will be deferred to a future term or withdrawn. 

Official Transcript Deadlines represent the date that official transcripts must be received by Graduate Admissions Office:

    • December 31, 2023 for Spring 2024 entry term
    • May 7, 2024 for the Summer 2024 entry term
    • August 1, 2024 for the Fall 2024 entry term

ONLY for applicants enrolled in the term immediately prior to their entry term will the deadline for those official transcripts (only from the term immediately prior to their entry term) to be received by the Graduate Admissions office will be extended to:  

    • January 5, 2024 for Spring term entry
    • May 12, 2024 for Summer term entry
    • August 11, 2024 for Fall term entry

Official transcripts from all earlier terms are due by the official transcript deadline (see above).

To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution to Augusta University’s Office of Graduate Admissions Operations electronically to graduateadmissions@augusta.edu or by mail to:
