Academic Success Consultations are one-on-one meetings with a professional staff member in the Academic Success Center. These sessions are designed to help students develop the skills, strategies, and confidence needed to thrive at Augusta University.
Explore study habits and time management strategies
Develop personalized approaches to note-taking, reading, and test preparation
Identify barriers to academic success and create an action plan
Connect you to tutoring, peer coaching, workshops, and other campus resources
Provide accountability and follow-up to support your goals
Students who want to improve their overall academic performance
Students transitioning into college-level coursework or balancing heavy course loads
Students seeking strategies beyond tutoring (e.g., organization, motivation, study skills)
Students referred by faculty, advisors, or staff for additional support
Sessions typically last 30–45 minutes
You’ll leave with a tailored plan and practical strategies to apply right away
Follow-up appointments are available for ongoing support
Students can schedule an Academic Success Consultation through EAB Navigate, by contacting the ASC front desk, or by speaking directly with their Academic Success Coordinator.

At the Academic Success Center, support doesn’t stop at consultations. Our services are powered by a dedicated team of professional staff and over 60 trained peer educators who work together to create a culture of success at Augusta University.
Professional Staff: Academic Success Coordinators and ASC leadership provide personalized consultations, oversee tutoring and coaching programs, and connect students with resources that fit their unique needs. They bring expertise in learning strategies, student development, and academic support.
Peer Educators: Our peer tutors and coaches are students just like you—who have excelled in their courses and are trained to share strategies, break down complex material, and offer encouragement. They know firsthand what it takes to succeed in high-demand classes at AU.
Together, our professional staff and peer educators form a network of support designed to help every Jaguar finish strong.
