The Augusta University Honors Program provides all motivated and high-potential learners the opportunity to enhance their undergraduate education.

Our honors curriculum encompasses three central educational goals—knowledge, communication, and professionalism—supported through creative core courses, unique interdisciplinary seminars, and mentored projects. The process of undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity culminates in an honors thesis. Throughout the program honors students receive advising, instruction, and mentoring from honors staff and faculty and the support to present their findings at appropriate state, regional, and national conferences.

"I go by she/her. I am a junior psychology major with a pre-med concentration. I am currently fascinated with being a hematology/oncology physician. I like watching anime, drawing, and taking care of my plants. I want to be a mentor to share the knowledge and advice I love building connections with first years."

"I am a junior cellular molecular biology major pursuing a career in medicine. My hobbies include watching movies, hanging out with friends, working out in the gym, helping in the community, and being adventurous by going to new places I have never been to before. I also love nature and love going to nature parks for the peace of mind."

"I am a junior this year, trying to navigate through college. So, I know how hard it is to begin college! I am a pre-med, majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology, with a minor in Anthropology. I LOVE reading in my spare time (lots of different genres). My favorite book series is the Throne of Glass. Not only this, but I love watching k-dramas, too. I also like hanging out with my friends when I have time. My favorite color is pink (pastel, of course). Please don't hesitate to reach out when you're feeling overwhelmed and need help. I am happy to help!"

"I am serving as HPSA Treasurer this year. I am a third year here at Augusta University pursuing a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology on a Pre-Medical track. I joined the honors program from my start of college and have been able to meet many great students and faculty through the program. Some of my interests include sports like Basketball and Soccer and gaming of many varieties. The honors program and HPSA have both helped me grow throughout college thus far and I hope I can do my best to pay that help and support forward to students who need it."

"My name is pronounced 'row-he-lee-oh', but my friends call me 'Ro' for short. As a current junior, I’m majoring in biochemistry and aspiring to become a dentist. In the beginning of my third year with the Honors Program, I’m looking forward to continuing my research at AU with Dr. Morandini and close to completing a year of research! My hobbies include cooking, working out, exploring, and playing numerous sports, but my classwork is my priority. The Honors Program has provided guidance and opportunities to help me grow both as a student in class and as a person in the community. I’m looking forward to meeting you all and being part of your journey that you will start here at AU!"

"I am a junior at Augusta University majoring in chemistry. I like reading, going on long walks, watching shows and movies, if I am not doing any of the above or studying for a class I'm probably napping. I also have been learning how to cook recently so if you have any good recipes, feel free to recommend them."
