Recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Science and Mathematics. Recipient must have completed their sophomore year (≥ 60 hours) and must have a minimum 3.2 overall GPA. Preference will be given to a student(s) planning to pursue a career in an area of environmental science. • In the event that the above criteria are not satisfied, the scholarship may be awarded at the discretion of the Department of Biological Sciences Scholarship Committee in a manner that closely aligns with the scholarship criteria. • Recipient may receive the scholarship more than once during their academic career, as determined by the Department of Biological Sciences Scholarship Committee. |

A scholarship to students at the College of Science and Mathematics. The scholarship selection will be based on merit and/or financial need. Recipient must be at least a rising junior with a declared major in a biological science and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Preference will also be given to students interested in pursuing a pre-veterinary major and who have shown dedication to his or her field of practice and the profession. The scholarship is renewable. If the previous stated criteria are not satisfied, the scholarship may be awarded at the discretion of the Department of Biological Sciences Scholarship Committee. |

Multiple scholarships of up to $5,000 per semester are available to assist students in completing the Bachelor of Science in Physics Nuclear Science Track or the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Nuclear Science Track. Some selected students may qualify for automatic continued support in subsequent semesters (assuming eligibility requirements are maintained). Other students may be accepted on an individual semester basis requiring a resubmission of application for subsequent semesters. Part-time students may qualify for partial scholarships. |

An annual scholarship awarded within the College of Science and Mathematics at Augusta University given out to students who are part of the Nuclear Science program. Recipient will be selected by the College of Science and Mathematics Scholarship Committee with notification to the Office of Financial Aid for processing and awarding and is subject to the following criteria:
Recipient must be pursuing a degree in environmental science, pre-engineering, engineering, biology, chemistry, or other relevant field. Recipient must be enrolled full-time with at least 15 hours and have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. Applicants must complete a 200-word essay on “Pursuing careers in the radioactive waste management, environmental remediation, or nuclear energy industries.” Recipient must be a U.S. citizen and must demonstrate financial need. The scholarship may be used for tuition, room and board, books and/or fees.
