Health Professionals Scholarship Program (HPSP)
Chapter 33, Fry Scholars, and Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship Recipients
An updated COE should be provided with each certification request. If you are current student, the last COE you received from VA showing the benefits paid for the current term will fulfill this requirement or you may obtain one from EBenefits. From the EBenefits site, Login > Select Manage > Select Education > Select Post 9/11 GI Bill® Enrollment Status. This will provide you with your current Statement of Benefits, which can be used in lieu of a COE.
Students should have a minimum of four months and fifteen days of remaining benefits under Chapter 33, Fry Scholars, or Edith Nourse Rogers Stem Scholarship recipients in order for MVS to show the anticipated VA payment on one’s account. When remaining benefits are less than four months and fifteen days, the student will need to pay any balance not covered from other financial aid by the payment deadline and will be reimbursed after the VA payment is received and posted.
Chapters 30, 35, and 1606
The Certificate of Eligibility (COE) should be submitted with the initial request for certification. Chapter 35 recipients will also need to provide the veteran’s social security number so a file can be established with the VA.
Chapter 31
Students should have a current eligibility voucher provided by the VR&E counselor to MVS staff.
