 Alumni Spotlight:

"When I first enrolled at Augusta University in 2016, I knew I wanted to do something with computers because I had a love for tech. I started outstudent holding diploma as a Computer Science major, but after noticing the growth of cybersecurity on a national level, I changed my major to Information Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity and I ended up loving it! My I.T. degree has opened up a lot of job opportunities for me, and the concepts I've learned with the Cybersecurity concentration* have helped me understand the finer details of how certain systems work in my current job. I've been told I'm grasping concepts faster than some seasoned employees and I credit that to the foundation that was set for me at Augusta University."

*The cybersecurity concentration is no longer available for the I.T. program and is now a fully developed degree program, our B.S. in Cybersecurity program. If students pursue an I.T. degree and have an interest in cybersecurity as well, students have the option of adding on a cyber defender or advanced cyber defender certificate.
