Is orientation mandatory at Augusta University?

Yes, orientation is mandatory for all incoming new undergraduate students to Augusta University who have not been enrolled within the last three years (9 semesters – Fall, Spring, Summer). 

Are there fees associated with orientation?

Yes, there is a $65 fee for students and a $65 fee for each parent or guest (maximum of 5 guests). These fees cover the costs of resources and activities that support your orientation experience.

Can I get a refund if I cancel orientation?

Cancellations made before the Friday prior to your scheduled orientation are eligible for a refund. You must complete a refund request form within one week of canceling.

How long does orientation last?

Orientation runs from 8 am to 5 pm. Students and parents/family members participate in separate tracks until after lunch.

What is the student transition experience?

The student transition experience begins the moment you confirm your attendance and continues throughout your first year. We offer resources and support to help you adjust to college life.

What about the parent/family transition experience?

The parent/family transition experience is ongoing throughout your student's journey. Our New Student and Family Transitions office provides programs, support, and advocacy for parents and family members.
