Psychiatry CAP Chief Resident

Welcome to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program

A Message from the Chief Resident

Greetings from the Chiefs at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department at AU! We are Marina Lukac (Chief CAP Fellow) and Dennis Dorf (Chief Portal), and we are so excited to help introduce you to our programs and all that we have to offer! From the moment we interviewed here, we were able to sense the intimate, community atmosphere of the program and knew that this would be a wonderful environment for training, as well as a great new place to call our home.

It is an exciting time at the AU CAP program, as we are undergoing a lot of positive changes within the department and training opportunities. In the last few years, we have been able to grow our PPPP to a full roster, which has helped to contribute to a more diverse training population and perspective with whom to exchange ideas and learn from each other while in our training.  We are also actively expanding electives and opportunities to collaborate with other departments within our WellStar MCG Medical Center, in addition to completing all core requirements needed for both CAP and PPPP training. We have been fortunate to work with a lineup of incredibly supportive attending faculty devoted to our training and well-being. The sense of camaraderie we have felt upon joining this program has definitely gone a long way in making us feel as if we are an integral part of this department.

We welcome you to explore our website and reach out for further information.

Thank you for your interest in our program, and we look forward to speaking with you about the exciting opportunities our programs have to offer!

Sincerely,

The Chiefs,

Marina and Dennis
