Extended Absence

Departments no longer have the ability to submit the absence request for an employee. All absence requests to include extended leave need to be requested by the employee through OneUSG Connect.

Extended absences requests are made for sick leave greater than 5 consecutive days.

There are the eight (8) types of extended absences:

  1. Bone Marrow Donation
  2. Education/Professional/Development Leave (Employee Manual)
  3. Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  4. Medical non-FMLA (Employee Manual)
  5. Military (Employee Manual)
  6. Organ Donation
  7. Personal
  8. Workers Compensation

Please be sure to let your supervisor and our office know if you will need to request this type of absence and follow the steps for officially requesting extended leave.
