Commencement: A Celebration Like No Other at Augusta University

Graduate Hooding and Commencement Ceremony: Thursday, May 8, 2025, 5:00 pm

Celebrating all graduate students in The Graduate School

Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony 1: Friday, May 9, 2025, 10:00 am

Celebrating undergraduate students from the College of Allied Health Sciences, College of Education & Human Development, Hull College of Business, and Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony 2: Friday, May 9, 2025, 2:00 pm

Celebrating undergraduate students from the College of Nursing, College of Science and Math, and School of Computer and Cyber Sciences.

 

All ceremonies will be held at:

Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center

Things to Remember for Commencement:

RSVP

RSVPs for the Spring 2025 commencement ceremonies have closed as of Friday, April 4th. Any faculty who were unable to RSVP by the April 4th deadline and still wish to participate in commencement are asked to contact the Office of Faculty Affairs by no later than Monday, May 5th. While accommodations cannot be guaranteed, we will do our best to include late responses based on availability. Please contact the Office of Faculty Affairs if you have any questions. 

Parking

Faculty participating in commencement will park at no charge in the Georgia Cyber Center parking deck, located at 1 11th Street, Augusta between 11th and 12th streets in Downtown Augusta. A parking attendant will be on site to let you in the deck at no charge. Platform Party participants will park in the 10th Street parking lot next to the convention center. 

Regalia

Faculty members participating in commencement will need to wear regalia. If the faculty member does not have regalia to wear, regalia is available to rent through the RoarStore for $100 plus tax. Regalia rentals can be picked up at the Summerville Campus RoarStore or shipped to you directly for an additional fee. The regalia rental order deadline for the Spring 2025 commencement ceremonies has passed, as of March 15th. Contact the RoarStore if you plan to pay for regalia rentals with departmental funds or have any additional questions about the regalia rental process. 

Photography

GradImages, our commencement photography vendor, will be on site taking photos during each ceremony. Platform party: If you're seated behind one of the podiums, don't forget that you're on camera! 

To participate or not participate?

 While participating in commencement is not mandatory, it's highly encouraged to represent your college and celebrate this special occasion with your students. 

Alma Mater

Do you know the words to our Alma Mater, "Augusta: The Bell Rings for Me"? You can familiarize yourself with the Alma Mater before the ceremony if you'd like. You'll have the words to sing along with in your program too! 

Where to Report

Upon arriving at the Marriott, platform party and faculty members participating in commencement should enter through the front entrance of the main lobby. We ask all faculty participating in commencement report to the appropriate robing room at least 45 minutes prior to each ceremony. Report to the following robing rooms:

Platform Party - Oglethorpe H

Faculty - Oglethorpe G 

Bag Policy

There is NO clear bag policy at the Augusta Marriott. Please be mindful of the belongings you bring with you!
