The Ultrasound Fellowship Program at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University accepts board eligible graduates. Fellows develop hands-on ultrasound skills, and they learn how to handle the administrative duties that are involved with running an emergency ultrasound program.
Fellows have both clinical and teaching responsibilities in the department. Upon completion of the program, the fellow will be able to obtain RDMS certification, be able to competently run an emergency ultrasound program, and be able to instruct other physicians in ultrasound techniques.
Fellows receive a generous compensation package, including a competitive salary, CME salary, paid vacation (4 weeks) and CME time (1 week), Mac laptop computer for use during the fellowship, two ultrasound texts, full benefits (including health, homeowners, and auto insurance), and ACEP membership.
