Students, Residents and Faculty are highly encouraged to submit your dental or dental-related research and innovative clinical treatments for presentation at this event. In addition to a poster, all poster presenters are required to submit a pre-recorded video of their poster presentation, which will be archived on the SRDRS website for external audiences.

Poster presenters can opt to also enter the Poster Presentation Competition, which is a judged event. Monetary awards are provided to authors of the highest-scoring presentations.

Poster Specifications and Submission

Specifications

While landscape orientation is preferred, participants may use either landscape or portrait design in order to present research at other events or venues that may have different design requirements.

Use the templates below to ensure the correct AU colors, aspect ratio, and physical size. * Templates have been develop for print at the AU Copy and Print. If you need to change the dimensions or orientation, please reach out to the Office of Research, prior to printing the poster.

Submission Categories
Participants must select a Participant Category and Research/Scholarly Topics category for their projects (choose only one category within each column): 

SeDR Participant Categories:

  • Dental Student 
  • Dental Hygiene Student
  • Pre-dental Student
  • Dental Resident (Advanced Dental Education) *
  • Graduate Student or Postdoctoral Fellow
  • Dental & Dental Hygiene Faculty *

Research / Scholarly Topics (examples) ˜ *

  • Basic Sciences (proteins, cells, animals, “biologicals”)
  • Clinical Materials (benchtop- Dental Materials)
  • Clinical Treatment (techniques, case studies- involving patients)
  • Educational or Behavioral (surveys, ed. trials)
  • Informatics (AxiUm data mining, assessment)
  • Literature Review (Systematic reviews, etc.)
  • Project Development (preliminary/ no data, research proposal, not included in competition)
  • ADCFP poster
  • Other (specify/describe)

VIDEO RECORDING OF THE POSTER PRESENTATIONS

All the presenters are required to prepare a video of their poster presentation.  Augusta University participants should have access to ECHO Universal capture; however, any video capture platform is acceptable. Detailed instructions are available below as well as printable instructions and a link to video summary examples.

When Using Echo 360:

  • Log in to Echo account and record your presentation using ECHO Universal capture.
  • Please remember to set your display options to capture yourself as you present the poster. This is an important requirement.
  • Ensure you have enabled “Public” sharing of the recording.

Video Summary Guidelines

  • Length of video presentations should be six to eight minutes.
  • Dress up in professional attire for the presentation recording.
  • Begin by introducing yourself.
  • Please be sure to include your name in the video file name. This is an important requirement.

Poster and Video Submission Deadline

March 28

This is the absolute deadline for poster submissions if you need the DCG Associate Dean of Research’s office to print your poster.  After this date, you will be responsible for printing your own poster at your own expense.

Please submit your poster as a PDF file, named: “Category_Last name_First initial” and the video link to your talk online.
