As the largest cancer center in southwest Georgia, the Phoebe Cancer Center at Phoebe Health System serves about 1,500 new cancer patients every year through its primary and satellite locations in Albany, Americus, Cordele and Sylvester.

Clinical trials are a part of that care. For nearly two decades the Phoebe Cancer Center has made trials available to patients from a 30-county radius.
The Phoebe Cancer Center is a community hospital comprehensive cancer center accredited by the American College of Surgeons. It is also recognized as a Lung Cancer Alliance Screening Center of Excellence. The Carlton Breast Health Center is acknowledged as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology and a Breast Cancer Center of Excellence by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.
