Coursework

In the Dental Hygiene program, you’ll take classes in patient care, pharmacology, periodontics and radiology techniques while also participating in a variety of field experiences.

Outside the Classroom

Field experience in a dental private practice setting and classes highlighting specialty clinic observation give students valuable opportunities to gain first-hand knowledge about their chosen careers.

Students learn the clinical application of the dental hygiene process through various practical methods.

Laboratory education provides hands-on mastery of skills like performing oral examinations, scaling teeth to remove soft and hard deposits, applying topical fluoride, and placing sealants.
