Field experience in a dental private practice setting and classes highlighting specialty
clinic observation give students valuable opportunities to gain first-hand knowledge
about their chosen careers.
Students learn the clinical application of the dental hygiene process through various
practical methods.
Laboratory education provides hands-on mastery of skills like performing oral examinations,
scaling teeth to remove soft and hard deposits, applying topical fluoride, and placing
sealants.
Whether you're an undergrad or graduate student, you'll have opportunities to create your own research projects or work with faculty to tackle some of the world's most complex and pressing challenges.
