The Neurocritical Care Division focuses on patient care, research, and training related to the acutely ill neurological patients. We provide individualized exceptional and compassionate multidisciplinary care for patients with severe acute nervous system injuries. Whether you have a brain or spine emergency or recovering from a complex surgery, our NeuroICU team is committed to provide you the highest care possible. We have experience and expertise in a wide range of acute conditions including:

  • Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
  • Ischemic Stroke
  • Intracerebral Hemorrhage
  • Cerebral Sinus Venous Thrombosis
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Status Epilepticus
  • CNS Malignancy
  • Coma
  • Infections of the nervous system such as meningitis and encephalitis
  • Autoimmune diseases of the nervous system
  • Neuromuscular emergencies such as Acute Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy, Myasthenia Gravis
  • Neurological complications of systemic disease such as cardiac arrest
  • Elevated ICP (Code Brain)

Our Team

Our team consists of three neurointensivist physicians with advanced training in neurocritical care, seven advanced practice providers (five full time, two part time) with extensive background in critical care, one critical care pharmacist, two nurse managers and an administrative coordinator.
