Bio

Dr. Chithra Devi Palani is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University. She received her Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Anna University, India and completed her Ph.D from FSU Jena University, Germany. Dr. Palani’s research focus is to analyze the therapeutic efficacy of various small molecules and its drug combination, including histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACi) with other drug molecules to induce HbF in improving pathophysiological condition of Sickle Cell Disease.
