I am an oral microbiologist, and my research focuses on the interactions of bacteria with host cells. My teaching is very important to me also.

Teaching Interests

I believe strongly in facilitating student self-driven learning and developing their ability to think for themselves. Student engagement is also of high concern, and finding new and improved ways to increase class interaction is a top priority

I have two main research focus:
The investigation of fluoride resistance in Streptococcus mutans.
The teaching and assesment of Critical Thinking.
