Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency

Academic Medical Center Experience

The Orthopaedic Residency program will provide educational and clinical experiences in an academic health care system affiliated with a regional Level 1 trauma center, children's hospital, and over 80 outpatient facilities.


  • 12-months (September 1st - August 31st)
  • 75% clinical workload
  • Salary with full benefits
  • No tuition fees

Educational experiences

  • One year teaching assistant appointment in entry level DPT program
  • Residency didactic material taught in person by university faculty and experts in the field
  • Physician and specialist observation including orthopaedic surgeries
  • Attendance at Wellstar MCG Health Department of Orthopaedics grand rounds and physician case reports
  • Participation in journal clubs
