Respiratory Therapy
The courses required to graduate comprise a core divided into six categories (Areas A-F). The options for completing these prerequisites for transfer to Augusta University are listed below.
Courses can only be used in one Area.

Notes:
Earned grade of C or better in each courses is required for admission to the Respiratory
Therapy major. Students taking core curriculum will be designated a Pre- Respiratory
Therapy Student. Augusta University students will apply for acceptance into the Respiratory
Therapy major when core curriculum is still in progress. All core must be complete
before beginning the Respiratory Therapy program.
Transfer Students:
f a student has complete Pre- Respiratory Therapy or Respiratory Therapy core areas
from another school in the University System of Georgia, then Augusta University will
accept the areas as satisfied. A student who plans to transfer from a school not in
the University System of Georgia should complete the courses that are equivalent to
the Augusta University core.
Upper division Respiratory Therapy courses from another Respiratory Therapy program
cannot be transferred into the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy Program.
*WELL 1000 Wellness (2 credit hours) and two Wellness Activity elective courses (2 credit hours) are required for graduation. Exemptions exist for transfer students with 60 credit hours or more.. See: Wellness Requirement
