  • What have you found most beneficial about your program at AU? The professors at AU are personable and relatable. They are intentional about building relationships with their students to ensure that all students feel supported during this program. The coursework fosters high collaboration with program mates and allows for rich learning experiences. I love that the program requires hands-on work in the field.
  • Please share words of advice for someone considering this program at AU? Do it! The professors will make this the BEST learning experience for you!

My Residency Course is helping me prepare for the Performance Assessment for School Leaders, allowing ample opportunities for district observations, growing my skills in research and analysis, and equipping me with the mindset and tools to lead on the school and district level.
  • What AU resources have been most helpful? The most useful resources are my professors and my advisor. Their feedback and expertise have been valuable to me during this experience.
  • What is your favorite AU memory? My favorite memory during the start of the first semester is meeting with my Residency advisor (Dr. Agunloye) and my school and district coaches. During this meeting, we discussed program expectations and experiences that needed to happen for my growth and development during this program. I feel thankful to have a team around me that supports and cares about my success in the program.
  • What do you do for fun (hobbies etc)? Making memories with my family, community service, percussionist for my church, and reading up on the latest educational research.
