Applicants from foreign colleges and universities must use an approved transcript evaluation service. Augusta University accepts official course-by-course transcript evaluations from the following evaluation services listed below. Course-by-course transcript evaluations may also be accepted from a current National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, or NACES, member on a case-by-case basis. Only in the case of transcripts from international colleges/universities will an official course-by-course transcript evaluation based on official transcripts and documents be accepted in lieu of an official transcript. Official transcript evaluations based on unofficial transcripts, documents or copies will not fulfill this requirement.

Degrees awarded from international universities and colleges must be verified as the
U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor's or higher degree.
English proficiency exam scores are required for applicants whose first language is not English and who do not qualify for an English proficiency exam waiver per the criteria listed below. Augusta University will accept official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Test (IELTS) exam scores. Official exam scores must be taken within 2 years of the date of application. The Augusta University institution code for submission of TOEFL or IELTS scores is 5406. Please do not select a department code.

If you are offered admission to an Augusta University degree program (and after you have officially accepted your offer of admissions), you will receive an email from ipso@augusta.edu (The International and Postdoctoral Services Office) requesting that you log into AU International to complete the appropriate request forms and provide required documents. Once your document (I-20 or DS-2019) has been issued, you can apply for a visa at the embassy or consulate in your home country.
